Responsibilities
- Conduct legislative research and policy analysis for congressional committees
- Assist in drafting memoranda, reports, and legislative correspondence
- Support stakeholder engagement through coalition coordination and outreach
- Monitor congressional hearings and committee markups for key developments
- Contribute to digital advocacy campaigns and social media strategy
- Prepare briefing materials for senior staff and external partners
- Participate in professional development workshops and networking events
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, or related field
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and research databases
- Knowledge of U.S. government processes and legislative procedures
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Proactive attitude with willingness to learn in fast-paced environment
