Responsibilities
- Development: Assist in the design, development, and testing of web applications and mobile features under the guidance of senior developers.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code; participate in code reviews to ensure best practices are followed.
- Debugging: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs and technical issues in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and user guides.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers.
- Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and frameworks to recommend improvements to current systems.
- Support: Provide technical support for internal tools and assist in deployment processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (graduation date 2025 or later).
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and a modern framework such as React or Vue.js.
- Backend Knowledge: Familiarity with Python or Node.js is a plus.
- Tools: Proficiency in using version control systems like Git and understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to debugging and problem-solving.
- Availability: Ability to work a minimum of 20-30 hours per week during the Summer/Fall semester.
