Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Strategic Horizon Map, analyzing converging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech) and societal trends
- Lead scenario-planning workshops for executive leadership, modeling 3-5 alternative futures
- Author quarterly "Horizon Briefs" identifying emerging threats/opportunities with 18-24 month lead times
- Partner with Product Innovation teams to de-risk R&D pipelines through future-proofing frameworks
- Represent Horizon at global futurist forums (e.g., Davinci Institute, World Future Society)
- Mentain proprietary "Early Signal" database tracking 200+ innovation indicators
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of predicting market shifts (portfolio of published forecasts required)
- Expertise in STEEP-VR analysis, Delphi methods, and horizon scanning
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related quantitative field
- Proficiency in forecasting tools (e.g., Trendalyzer, Palisade @Risk)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive presentation experience
- Certification in Foresight Methodologies (e.g., CFt from University of Houston)
