Responsibilities
- Forecast and analyze emerging technological, social, and economic trends through 2026+ horizon scanning
- Develop strategic frameworks for next-generation product innovation and market disruption
- Lead scenario planning workshops to prepare for potential futures and systemic risks
- Partner with R&D teams to translate foresight insights into R&D priorities
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and industry disruptors
- Author thought leadership content and white papers on future-shaping trends
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research roles
- Proven track record of translating foresight into business strategy and R&D roadmaps
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum computing, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating futures research projects or strategic foresight deliverables
