Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year innovation roadmaps targeting 2026 milestones in AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology
- Lead horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies and disruptive trends with 3-5 year impact potential
- Design strategic frameworks for ethical adoption of transformative technologies (AGI, synthetic biology, neural interfaces)
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with engineers, designers, and policymakers to align on future-state solutions
- Build competitive intelligence ecosystems through partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and NASA
- Present futuristic scenarios to executive leadership and board of directors with actionable implementation plans
- Drive organizational culture shift toward 'future-ready' mindsets through training and thought leadership
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting with Fortune 500 or tech startups
- Proven track record of launching products/services with 3+ year market impact (examples: AI ethics frameworks, climate tech ventures)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: exponential technologies, behavioral economics, or systems thinking
- Certifications in Futures Studies (e.g., from University of Houston or foresight.org) or equivalent experience
- Exceptional presentation skills with experience to C-suite and global audiences (TED Talks, Davos, etc.)
- Published thought leadership in journals like Harvard Business Review or Wired on future trends
- Advanced degree in Technology Management, Systems Engineering, or Cognitive Science
- Portfolio demonstrating successful 2025+ innovation initiatives
