Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 strategic innovation roadmaps for AI-driven automation, climate-resilient infrastructure, and human-machine collaboration systems
- Lead cross-disciplinary task forces of engineers, futurists, and business strategists to prototype breakthrough solutions
- Anticipate technological disruptions using horizon scanning and trend analysis across 15+ emerging sectors
- Secure $50M+ in R&D funding through government grants and venture partnerships for 2026-focused initiatives
- Present strategic blueprints to the board and industry consortiums, influencing policy and investment decisions
- Mentor innovation fellows and establish FutureHorizon's thought leadership through white papers and keynote speeches
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, R&D leadership, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 or unicorns
- Proven track record launching products/services with 5+ year market impact cycles
- Expertise in exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neuromorphic systems)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications on future trends
- Advanced degree in Technology Management, Systems Engineering, or Futurism (PhD preferred)
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) or international innovation funding
- Fluency in strategic foresight frameworks (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Delphi Method)
