Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify breakthrough technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging tech adoption across IoT, blockchain, and neurotech domains
- Partner with C-suite executives to align innovation initiatives with long-term business objectives
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews for emerging tech sectors
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, startups, and venture capital firms
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to the board of directors
- Manage cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and design teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Innovation Management (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or venture capital with emerging tech focus
- Proven track record of commercializing at least two breakthrough technologies
- Deep expertise in at least three of these domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AR/VR, or decentralized systems
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategy
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation or future studies (IEEE, ACM, or similar)
- Experience managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets and R&D pipelines
