Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 10-year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and societal needs
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify breakthrough technologies with 2026-2030 commercialization potential
- Architect innovation frameworks for quantum computing, biotech convergence, and neural interfaces
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D pioneers
- Present future technology scenarios to executive leadership and investment committees
- Design ethical governance frameworks for next-generation AI systems
- Drive cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and product teams
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in futurism or emerging technology roles
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent expertise)
- Published research in IEEE Nature or peer-reviewed journals on technology forecasting
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, advanced AI, or neuromorphic systems
- Experience advising Fortune 500 boards on technology disruption scenarios
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to model complex socio-technical ecosystems
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies and technology adoption lifecycle models
