Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical risk assessment protocols for generative AI and autonomous decision systems
- Lead cross-functional ethics committees with legal, engineering, and social science stakeholders
- Develop bias mitigation algorithms for predictive modeling in healthcare and financial services
- Create audit frameworks for AI explainability and transparency compliance (GDPR, EU AI Act)
- Author whitepapers on AI ethics for IEEE and ACM journals
- Advocate for ethical AI standards at international tech policy forums
Qualifications
- PhD in Machine Learning, Ethics, or Philosophy with 5+ years applied AI ethics experience
- Published research on algorithmic bias mitigation or fairness in ML systems
- Proficiency in Python with experience implementing ethical auditing tools (AIF360, Fairlearn)
- Deep understanding of global AI regulations (EU AI Act, NIST RMF, ISO 42001)
- Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, or defense)
- Strong background in participatory design methodologies with diverse stakeholder groups
