Responsibilities
- Lead strategic technology roadmapping for 2026-2030 product lifecycle
- Manage cross-functional R&D teams developing quantum applications and AI systems
- Identify emerging tech trends and evaluate commercialization potential
- Secure and manage federal/state innovation grants and partnerships
- Develop patent portfolios for breakthrough technologies
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor junior researchers in future technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years in R&D leadership with commercial tech deployment
- Proven track record in quantum computing or advanced AI systems
- Experience securing $1M+ in government innovation grants
- Published research in IEEE/Nature journals preferred
- Deep understanding of tech ethics and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional strategic communication and presentation skills
