Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum, AGI, neural interfaces) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate next-gen solutions
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs
- Present technology forecasts and innovation strategies to executive stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
- Drive patent development and IP protection for breakthrough innovations
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AGI development, synthetic biology
- Strong financial modeling and innovation portfolio management skills
- Experience with regulatory frameworks for emerging tech (FDA, FCC, etc.)
- Published thought leadership in technology or innovation journals
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
