Responsibilities
- Design and execute technology roadmaps for 2026-2030, aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum computing, AI ethics, and synthetic biology
- Identify emerging technologies through patent analysis and academic partnerships
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board members with data-driven insights
- Build and manage a $15M innovation portfolio with 20+ concurrent projects
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of experimental innovation
- Secure partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and DARPA for collaborative R&D
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Biotechnology (or equivalent experience)
- Proven track record of launching 3+ breakthrough technologies
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, neural network architecture, or genomic editing
- Strong proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum computing frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Clearance for federal research projects or ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
