Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026+ technology roadmaps aligned with company vision and market disruption
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum, biotech, sustainable systems) to identify strategic opportunities
- Lead R&D initiatives for next-generation products with 3-5 year implementation horizons
- Partner with engineering to prototype future solutions and validate market readiness
- Present strategic forecasts to executive leadership and investors with compelling data narratives
- Build and manage a global network of academic, industry, and startup innovation partners
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech, climate tech)
- Proven track record of launching futuristic products with 5+ year development cycles
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex systems and scenarios
- Strong executive presence and experience communicating to C-suite and boards
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies highly desirable
