Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech integration)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough opportunities with $1B+ market potential
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Manage $10M+ innovation portfolio with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with global research institutions
- Author thought leadership publications on future technology trends
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic technology planning with Fortune 500 experience
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent innovation track record)
- Proven success in scaling technologies from concept to commercialization
- Expertise in emerging tech domains: quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, or synthetic biology
- Deep understanding of global tech policy landscapes and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills for executive presentations and stakeholder management
- Published research or patents in peer-reviewed journals
- Fluency in Mandarin or Arabic preferred for global partnerships
