- Conduct horizon-scanning research across AI, biotech, climate tech, and quantum computing domains
- Develop 3-5 year strategic scenarios and roadmaps for board-level approval
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and marketing teams
- Author trend reports and white papers published in industry journals
- Manage a $5M innovation fund for experimental ventures
- Curate quarterly futures symposiums with external thought leaders
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field
- 8+ years in corporate innovation, consulting, or R&D leadership
- Published portfolio of trend analysis or scenario planning work
- Expertise in systems thinking and complex adaptive systems modeling
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, etc.)
- Experience securing executive buy-in for radical innovation initiatives
- Track record of launching products/services based on future insights
