Responsibilities
- Develop 2026+ strategic frameworks using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario modeling
- Lead cross-functional workshops to synthesize insights from emerging technologies (quantum, biotech, AGI)
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports for executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Design innovation roadmaps aligning with UN SDGs and ESG imperatives
- Establish early-warning systems for disruptive market shifts and black swan events
- Partner with R&D to commercialize breakthrough technologies with 5-7 year timelines
- Mentor junior futurists and build foresight capabilities across the organization
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or corporate strategy
- Published thought leadership on technological or societal megatrends
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methods, and trend impact analysis
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (quantum, AI, synthetic biology)
- Experience advising C-suite on long-term strategy under uncertainty
- Portfolio demonstrating successful 5-10 year strategic implementations
- Certification in Foresight or Strategic Foresight (e.g., CFMP preferred)
