Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive 2026 innovation roadmap aligned with company strategic objectives
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and scaling breakthrough solutions
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget allocation and resource optimization
- Establish industry partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Present innovation initiatives to board members and secure stakeholder buy-in
- Drive patent development and intellectual property strategy
- Mentor next-generation innovation specialists
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology innovation, with 5+ years in executive leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business (PhD/MBA preferred)
- Deep expertise in at least two disruptive tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, AR/VR, etc.)
- Experience managing $10M+ innovation budgets
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation or entrepreneurship
- Strong network within Silicon Valley's tech ecosystem
- Fluency in agile development methodologies and stage-gate processes
