Responsibilities
- Assist nurses and physicians with patient assessments and vital sign monitoring
- Document clinical observations accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Participate in emergency response simulations and real-life scenarios
- Conduct patient education on chronic disease management
- Shadow interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care plan discussions
- Prepare and maintain sterile examination rooms and medical equipment
- Collaborate with night-shift team on patient handoff procedures
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in accredited healthcare program (pre-med, nursing, EMT, etc.)
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 with strong science coursework
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Availability for 3 consecutive night shifts weekly (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Proficient in medical terminology and EHR systems
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure emergency situations
- Valid California driver's license for on-site transportation needs
- Authorization to work in the United States
