Responsibilities
- Conduct legislative research and draft policy briefs for congressional clients
- Analyze federal regulations and their impact on industry stakeholders
- Assist in preparing testimony and hearing materials for congressional hearings
- Monitor congressional hearings and committee markups for key developments
- Support stakeholder engagement initiatives through scheduling and correspondence
- Create data visualizations and reports using Excel and Tableau
- Participate in weekly strategy sessions with senior policy advisors
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program (junior/senior year preferred)
- Minimum 3.2 GPA with coursework in political science, public policy, or related field
- Strong writing skills with samples of academic or professional writing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and research databases (e.g., LexisNexis)
- Interest in U.S. federal government processes and policy development
- Ability to work 20-25 hours/week during the spring semester
- Authorization to work in the United States
