Horizon Logistics Solutions is currently seeking a dedicated and driven Paid Intern to join our elite night shift operations team in El Paso, TX. As a Night Shift Intern, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will work directly with our operations supervisors to ensure seamless inventory management, quality control, and safety compliance during the critical overnight hours. This is a full-time paid internship designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional practice.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Operations: Oversee daily logistics workflows and inventory checks during the night shift to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and internal safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
- Data Entry: Process and update warehouse management systems (WMS) with real-time shipment and inventory data.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with day-shift supervisors and cross-functional teams to resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic checks on material handling equipment and report maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (Junior or Senior status preferred).
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a full-time basis.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with warehouse software is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies in data.
- Reliability: Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
