Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test high-quality software solutions.
- Assist in the debugging and maintenance of existing codebases and applications.
- Participate in code reviews and agile planning meetings to ensure code quality and project progress.
- Document technical specifications, requirements, and architecture using standard technical documentation tools.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and industry trends to propose innovative solutions.
- Support the deployment of applications to production environments under supervision.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#) and understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability: Must be able to commit to part-time hours, typically 20-30 hours per week, including some evenings or weekends if necessary.
- Location: Must reside in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area or be willing to commute to our office in Northwest D.C.
- Interest: A genuine passion for learning new technologies and a desire to grow within the tech industry.
