We are seeking a driven and talented Paid Intern to join our dynamic team in Oakland, California. Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of high-quality software applications and web services.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in various programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement features.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues, performing root cause analysis to implement effective solutions.
- Document technical requirements, designs, and code changes for future reference.
- Attend daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings to stay aligned with project goals.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Django) or mobile development (iOS/Android) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
- Unwillingness to relocate; must reside in the Oakland, CA area.
