Apex Logistics Group is seeking a dedicated Weekend Operations Intern to join our New York team. This is a fantastic opportunity for students and recent graduates to kickstart their careers in the Summer or Fall of 2024.
As an intern, you will support our daily warehouse and logistics operations during our peak weekend shifts. You will work closely with our management team to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety in our local facilities. This is a hands-on role designed to provide insight into the supply chain and operations management industries.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the loading and unloading of freight trucks during weekend shifts.
- Organize and inventory stock within the local warehouse facility.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Process shipping documents and manage data entry for inventory tracking.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve operational issues.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols strictly.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
