Responsibilities
- Design quantum machine learning models for optimization problems unsolvable by classical systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for real-time data processing
- Lead experimental validation on 1000+ qubit quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Author peer-reviewed publications and contribute to open-source quantum frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum algorithm development
- Secure $1M+ in government/private research funding
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane)
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum information theory
- Expertise in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and high-performance computing
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and information theory
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
