Job Description
Join Nexus Labs at the forefront of quantum-AI convergence to build the computational backbone of 2026. We're pioneering hybrid quantum-neural architectures that will redefine machine learning. As a Quantum AI Research Engineer, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and MIT alumni to develop error-corrected quantum algorithms that solve previously intractable problems in drug discovery, climate modeling, and materials science.
This role offers unparalleled access to our 256-qubit quantum annealer and exclusive partnerships with NASA and IBM Quantum. You'll shape how humanity harnesses quantum supremacy while enjoying Austin's vibrant tech ecosystem, with relocation packages including housing stipends and equity.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Optimize quantum neural networks for real-time inference on quantum hardware
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects with quantum physics and AI teams
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Patent novel quantum algorithms for enterprise applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computational Science (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane quantum SDKs
- Expertise in TensorFlow/PyTorch with quantum circuit integration
- Publication record in quantum machine learning or top-tier conferences
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion processors
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and information theory
