Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-classical computing architectures for enterprise-scale AI applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant machine learning algorithms
- Collaborate with product teams to translate quantum research into patentable IP
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Computing Summit
- Secure $5M+ in government/private research grants through proposal development
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish industry partnerships with quantum hardware providers
- Develop quantum-safe encryption protocols for next-gen AI systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Machine Learning with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier quantum/AI journals (h-index > 15)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and cloud quantum platforms
- Strong background in tensor networks and quantum information theory
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary research teams with $1M+ budgets
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation frameworks (Q#, Q#-Py)
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and error mitigation strategies
