Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models for 2026-scale applications
- Lead research on quantum neural networks and error mitigation techniques
- Develop quantum algorithms outperforming classical systems in optimization tasks
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors for AI workloads
- Secure $2M+ in research grants and publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish in top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, QIP)
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into patentable commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, or Physics (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier ML conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow Quantum, and high-performance computing
- Demonstrated success in securing government/industry research funding
- Experience with GPU-accelerated quantum simulation (NVIDIA cuQuantum)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
