Responsibilities
- Architect scalable quantum computing systems leveraging superconducting qubits and photonic networks
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Design hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum accelerators into cloud infrastructure
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects targeting 2026 quantum advantage milestones
- Secure patents and publish research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Mentor junior quantum engineers in emerging technologies like quantum machine learning
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum circuit design
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Proven track record of developing quantum error correction codes
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware integration
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Published research in quantum computing or equivalent industry contributions
- Ability to secure government/DoD quantum computing clearances preferred
