Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop quantum algorithms for optimization problems in drug discovery and climate modeling
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Create error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with NASA on quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Patent novel quantum computing methodologies
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms or hardware
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit design frameworks
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and quantum error correction
- Experience leading quantum computing projects with $1M+ budgets
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum annealing
- Track record of commercializing quantum technologies
- Security clearance for federal quantum initiatives preferred
