Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial deployment by 2026
- Develop error-correction protocols achieving <10^-9 logical qubit error rates
- Lead cross-functional teams integrating quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Research novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Establish industry standards for quantum-safe cryptography implementations
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Cirq)
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Proven track record of leading quantum computing projects with measurable outcomes
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling and simulation
- Security clearance for DoD quantum initiatives preferred
