Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional research teams in developing quantum algorithms with exponential speedup over classical systems
- Architect error-corrected quantum processors operating at 99.9% fidelity
- Drive commercialization of quantum applications in finance, logistics, and materials science
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and secure $5M+ in government grants
- Mentor PhD-level researchers and establish industry partnerships with quantum hardware manufacturers
- Develop quantum security protocols resistant to 2030-era cyber threats
- Present findings at Davos, IEEE Quantum Week, and other global innovation forums
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of research experience
- Published 15+ peer-reviewed papers on quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of securing NSF/DOE grants for quantum computing projects
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning applications and variational algorithms
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Strong background in quantum cryptography and post-quantum security standards
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
