Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop error-corrected quantum systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and cryptography
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $1M+ in research funding through government and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional technical teams
- Develop quantum software development tools and SDKs for commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and HPC frameworks
- Track record of securing research grants or industry partnerships
