Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum with classical ML systems
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in quantum computing
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF/NIH
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published work in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Proficiency in high-performance computing (HPC) environments
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience securing government or corporate research funding
