Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Prototype quantum machine learning frameworks for commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum annealing systems (D-Wave, Rigetti)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published record in top quantum computing conferences (QIP, TQC)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical hardware implementations
