Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research in quantum hardware systems including superconducting qubits and trapped ions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate quantum research into commercial applications
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present findings at premier conferences like QIP and APS March Meeting
- Develop quantum error correction techniques to enhance computational fidelity
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum hardware in top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation or ion trap systems
