Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance using superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize quantum-classical computing workflows
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at premier conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD interns
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published 15+ peer-reviewed papers in quantum computing or quantum information
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/Cirq frameworks
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and photonic processors
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
- Patent portfolio with 3+ granted quantum computing patents
