Responsibilities
- Develop proprietary quantum algorithms solving real-world industry challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating quantum theory into scalable implementations
- Author breakthrough research published in top-tier journals/conferences
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with NASA, IBM, and MIT on quantum-adjacent initiatives
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through innovative proposal development
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years implementing quantum algorithms on real hardware (IBM Q, Rigetti, etc.)
- Published research in Nature/Science or top quantum conferences
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit design frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance techniques
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal or corporate research funding
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- US citizenship required for government collaboration projects
