Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era processors
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on ion-trap and superconducting platforms
- Develop error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations and qubit coherence
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Quantum) and present at conferences
- Secure research grants from DARPA, NSF, and industry partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum simulation frameworks (QuTiP, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic systems or photonics hardware preferred
- Track record of securing research funding or industry partnerships
