Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and molecular modeling
- Design error-corrected qubit architectures using superconducting systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to achieve 100+ qubit coherence
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI/ML researchers for hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Secure NSF and DARPA funding for quantum advantage initiatives
- Mentor postdoctoral fellows and publish 3+ high-impact papers annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum circuit simulation (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/IEEE)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface/colour codes)
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with parallel computing frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Strong track record of securing research funding
