Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors at 300mK temperatures
- Lead research publications in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD interns from Stanford and Berkeley quantum programs
- Translate theoretical models into practical implementations on superconducting qubits
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NIST quantum research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum circuit design (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane/Strawberry Fields)
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Strong background in topological quantum computing concepts
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
