Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Lead breakthrough research in error correction techniques for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry grants for 2026 quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning applications
- Present findings at global conferences like Q2B and IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computational Physics, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum simulation frameworks (TensorFlow Quantum, PennyLane)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonics
- Track record of securing NSF or DoE quantum grants
