Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography and AI
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop error-corrected quantum systems
- Lead research initiatives to overcome quantum decoherence challenges
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure federal and private research grants for experimental quantum projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and quantum error correction
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex quantum concepts
- US citizenship required for government project collaboration
