Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Architect, design, and implement scalable software solutions using modern languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, React, Node.js).
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code; conduct code reviews to ensure technical excellence and adherence to best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define features and deliver high-quality user experiences.
- Problem Solving: Debug complex issues, optimize system performance, and innovate solutions to technical challenges.
- Mentorship: For full-time roles, guide junior developers; for interns, provide structured learning paths and technical guidance.
- Agile Methodology: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree with a graduation date between May and December 2024 for internship roles).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and relational databases (SQL/PostgreSQL).
- Experience: 1-3+ years of professional software development experience (for Full-Time) or relevant academic projects (for Internships).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex systems efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Location Flexibility: Willingness to work in a hybrid model supporting our San Francisco, CA and North Carolina offices.
