Build real-world applications with cutting-edge technologies while working alongside industry mentors in our downtown Detroit innovation hub. Our interns contribute to scalable cloud-native systems, participate in agile sprints, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready features. You'll gain exposure to modern DevOps practices, AI integration, and IoT development – skills that set you apart in today's competitive market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain microservices using Python, Node.js, and Go
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Write unit/integration tests and participate in code reviews
- Collaborate with UX designers to implement responsive web interfaces
- Contribute to open-source projects and internal innovation labs
- Present technical progress during bi-weekly sprint reviews
- Document API specifications and system architecture
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Computer Science or related degree (Sophomore/Junior/Senior)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python/Java/JavaScript)
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and database fundamentals
- Familiarity with Git version control and agile methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Available for 20-40 hours/week during Summer/Fall 2023
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
