Responsibilities
- Develop and test microservices using Java/Spring Boot and AWS cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement RESTful APIs and CI/CD pipelines
- Contribute to production-level code through Git-based version control and code reviews
- Optimize database queries and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in PostgreSQL
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Document technical specifications and create API documentation using Swagger
- Mentor junior interns and present project outcomes to leadership
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript with understanding of OOP principles
- Experience with Git, RESTful APIs, and relational databases (SQL)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Available for 40 hours/week from June-September (Summer) or September-December (Fall)
