Virginia Beach Logistics Hub is seeking a motivated Summer Intern to join our weekend operations team. This is a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in logistics and customer support while enjoying the flexibility of weekend shifts.
We are looking for candidates ready for a Summer/Fall start who are eager to learn, adaptable, and ready to make an impact.
Responsibilities
- Assist Operations Team: Provide critical support to our weekend operations staff to ensure seamless daily workflows.
- Data Management: Accurately input and manage data using our internal CRM systems and Excel spreadsheets.
- Customer Assistance: Serve as the first point of contact for weekend inquiries, resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
- Inventory Oversight: Participate in weekly inventory checks and stock organization to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Project Support: Assist in the execution of ongoing internal projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Reporting: Generate weekly reports on operational metrics and submit them to the senior management team.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program (or high school senior) with a graduation date in Summer 2024 or Fall 2024.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for the duration of the internship.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Reliability: Demonstrated history of punctuality and strong work ethic.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
