Responsibilities
- Monitor Operational Systems: Track server performance, network traffic, and system logs during night hours to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Data Entry & Analysis: Accurately input and verify large volumes of technical data into our central management systems.
- Technical Support: Assist the night operations team in troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues reported by internal staff.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, system alerts, and resolved incidents for handover to the day shift team.
- Security Compliance: Assist in routine security checks and adherence to company protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Report Generation: Compile weekly performance reports highlighting key metrics and operational insights.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and assist with the management of IT inventory and hardware supplies.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM or 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) for the duration of the summer internship.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of computers, operating systems (Windows/Mac), and internet browsers.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to write clear reports.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when handling data and monitoring system metrics.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
