Metro Retail Solutions is currently seeking a motivated and energetic Summer Operations Intern for our Weekend Shift program. You will work alongside experienced store managers to ensure our customers receive top-tier service while supporting our operational goals. What You Will Do:
Responsibilities
- Operational Support: Assist the management team with daily floor operations, ensuring store readiness, visual merchandising standards, and safety protocols.
- Customer Engagement: Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, processing returns, and resolving complaints with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Inventory Management: Participate in cycle counts, restock merchandise, and manage inventory discrepancies using our POS and inventory management systems.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline weekend workflows and improve overall store efficiency.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales, returns, and operational logs; assist in compiling weekly reports for management.
- Event Support: Support special promotional events and weekend audits as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a High School or Undergraduate program (Freshman to Senior preferred).
- Availability: Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays (Weekend Shift) consistently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a positive attitude and customer-first mindset.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software (preferred).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours), lift up to 25 lbs, and move around the sales floor.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work independently.
