As a Weekend Shift Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our weekend operations run smoothly. You will work closely with our operations managers, gaining insights into real-world business challenges and developing professional skills that will set you apart in the competitive job market.
Responsibilities
- Support daily weekend logistics operations and ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Assist in inventory management, including data entry for weekend stock counts and cycle counts.
- Monitor warehouse performance metrics and compile weekly operational reports for management review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and workflow bottlenecks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company safety protocols.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding weekend operations and provide timely, professional resolutions.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in High School, College, or University (rising Junior or Senior preferred).
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for the duration of the summer program.
- Strong attention to detail with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow within the logistics sector.
