Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client systems
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) dashboards and analyze threat intelligence
- Document security findings and remediation protocols
- Collaborate on developing incident response playbooks
- Participate in red team exercises and simulated cyber-attack scenarios
- Assist in security automation script development using Python
- Present weekly progress reports to senior security engineers
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in accredited college/university pursuing cybersecurity/IT degree
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and security best practices
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Experience with Linux/Windows command-line interfaces
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities
- Available for 12-16 weeks full-time commitment (June-August)
- Valid driver's license and ability to commute to downtown Baltimore office
